The Core Strategy
Board exams test what you know, not how clever you are. The entire syllabus is in the prescribed textbook. Your job is to read it thoroughly and practice answering questions from it.
Subject-Wise Tips
Science (Class 10)
- Memorise all chemical equations (write them 3x each)
- Draw diagrams neatly — they carry marks
- Learn definitions word-for-word for 1-mark questions
Mathematics
- Practice is everything — solve at least 10 problems per concept
- Show all steps — method marks are separate from answer marks
- Use last year's papers to identify high-weightage topics
Social Science
- Make chapter-wise notes with bullet points
- Use maps — geography questions always come with map pointing
- Remember dates and names accurately — examiners check them
Revision Techniques That Work
1. Spaced repetition — revise a topic on day 1, day 3, day 7, day 21 2. Mind maps — draw topic connections visually 3. Teach someone — explaining a concept to a friend is the best test of understanding 4. Flash cards — for formulas, definitions, and dates
