State the SAS congruence criterion. 6. In which quadrant does (5, −3) lie? 7. Factorise: 4m² − 12m + 9. 8. Find the distance from the origin to point (3, 4). 9. The diagonals of a rhombus are 8 cm and 6 cm. Find its area. 10. Total surface area of a cuboid of dimensions l, b, h is ________. 11. What is the multiplicative inverse of −2/3? 12. Evaluate 97² using (100 − 3)². 13. Two angles of a triangle are 60° and 80°. Find the third angle. 14. A cube has side 2 cm. Find its volume. 15. The y-coordinate of any point on the x-axis is ________.
Section B — Two Mark Questions (10 × 2 = 20)
16. Subtract: 2/3 − (−5/6). Show steps. 17. The area of a trapezium is 54 cm² and its height is 6 cm. One parallel side is 8 cm. Find the other. 18. Expand (4p + 5q)(4p − 5q). 19. Find the value of 99 × 101 using the identity (a + b)(a − b). 20. Identify the quadrant for each point: (3, 7), (−2, −5), (4, −1), (−3, 6). 21. A cuboid tank is 4 m × 3 m × 2 m. Section C — Five Mark Questions (5 × 5 = 25)
26. A cuboidal container is 6 m × 5 m × 4 m. Find its total surface area and the number of litres of liquid it can hold.
27. Expand (2a + 3b)² − (2a − 3b)² and simplify. Interpret the result using identities.
28. Prove that in a parallelogram, the diagonals bisect each other. (Use triangle congruence and CPCTC.)
29. Show that A(0, 0), B(4, 0), C(4, 3), and D(0, 3) form a rectangle. Calculate the length of the diagonals.
